Inspiration

Bij SANTOS weten we het al een tijdje: voetbal is het beste excuus om de wereld te ontdekken. Het spel voetbal is zo universeel, dat je het in vrijwel iedere uithoek kunt vinden, op ieder continent, in iedere stad en in haast ieder godvergeten gehucht.

Grote kans dat je de opmars van VfB Stuttgart een beetje gemist hebt. De club had de afgelopen jaren de grootste moeite om in de Bundesliga te blijven – wat ook niet altijd lukte – maar na een tweede plaats won het vorig seizoen de DFB Pokal. En dus mag het in de Europa League naar Go Ahead Eagles, en krijgt het Feyenoord op bezoek.

Wanneer schrijver/fotograaf Nils Adriaans in binnen- of buitenland een voetbalveld ziet, stopt hij om het te vast te leggen. Voor SANTOS doorkruist hij Nederland en bezoekt hij maandelijks de eerste club van een Oranje-international. In deel 8 het CSV'28 van Tijjani Reijnders.

Wanneer schrijver Nils Adriaans in binnen- of buitenland een voetbalveld ziet, stopt hij om het te fotograferen. Voor SANTOS bezoekt hij maandelijks de eerste club van een Oranje-international en struint zo de amateurvelden van Nederland af. In deel 5 FC Abcoude, de amateurclub van Matthijs de Ligt.
