Schalke 04 is a club that many should visit once in their lifetime. The club is mostly famous for the Revierderby against Borussia Dortmund, but with the Veltins-Arena it’s got one of the most modern European stadiums whilst keeping the great old football atmosphere intact.

Bayern Munich is an absolute world-class club on and off the pitch and a must-visit for everyone who likes southern German culture. Expect a combination of top football and good Bavaria beers. You can't make us happier than that.

A visit to metropole Berlin is incomplete without a stop at the Olympiastadion, where on and off the pitch so much history has been written. Preferably whilst watching a match of Hertha BSC, one of Germany's oldest clubs.

Dortmund is quite a grey city in the Ruhr, but a visit to Borussia Dortmund is always impressive. The Westfalenstadion is one of the biggest stadiums in Europe, and the famous Gelbe Wand never loses any of its magic, no matter how often you've been there.

A popular Traditionsverein with a historic stadium in one of the biggest cities of Germany. 1. FC Köln is a club with a strong identity and is ideal for a day trip. But even if you stay a couple of days, you will not be bored for a second. Viva Colonia!

Stuttgart might not be the first city that comes to mind when visiting Germany, but you should definitely go there. The city has a rich football history and the Mercedes-Benz Arena of VfB Stuttgart is one of the biggest stadiums in the country.

The term cult club is a little overused, but we can't find any other way to describe Union Berlin. The club of the punk scene of East Berlin and the resistance against the regime of the GDR is an experience in itself if you can get a hand on a ticket.

The former GDR and one of the most modern football clubs in Europe. Two things which don't seem to go hand in hand, but at RasenBallsport Leipzig they do. A must-visit for everyone who is fascinated by one or both phenomenons.

If you've never been to a football match in Germany before, then Bayer Leverkusen is a good start. The stadium is nice and easily accessible and Leverkusen is a real top team. On top of that, tickets are easy to get.
